Jackie A. Confer


Jackie A. Confer
is Branch Manager of the Clearfield Bank & Trust Company, Mount Union.  Jackie was named one of the "Top 100 People" by Pennsylvania Business Central (a regional publication serving 16 counties).  She has served as president of the Mount Union Area Chamber of Commerce, currently serves on the board of directors and is actively involved in community projects.




 
Tonya DeVecchis-Kerr
is Director of Special Education and Student Services in the Mount Union Area School District.  Tonya was awarded "Educator of the Year" for 2007 by the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce."  She entered the teaching profession in 1979 and has served in various capacities in the Juniata Valley and Huntingdon Area School Districts.



 
Bryan D. Donaldson is author and publisher of "Brick Town USA" - a 264-page hardcover book of pictures and commentary about Mount Union in the 1950s and earlier years.  He is owner/operator of Bryan's Barbershop, Mount Union.


Dr. Jerry L. Dunkle

Jerry L. Dunkle
is Interim Principal of the Juniata Valley High School.  His distinguished career includes 17 years as superintendent of the Mount Union Area School District.  Jerry served for seven years as president of the Mount Union Area Chamber of Commerce and on the board of directors of Huntingdon County Business & Industry.  He was previously awarded "Educator of the Year" by the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce.


 



Mark Ewald is a Patrolman with the Mount Union Police Department.  Officer Ewald received a commendation for saving the life of a local three-year-old child.



 

David K. Goodman, Jr. is President and CEO of D.C. Goodman & Sons, Inc.  He started with the family-owned business in 1973.  David was named one of the "Top 100 People" by Pennsylvania Business Central (a regional publication serving 16 counties).  He is an honored Trustee at Juniata College, and serves on the board of directors of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon County Business & Industry and Huntingdon County United Way.  Dave is also a director and one of the founders of Nittany Bank.

 

Travis J. Kylor is the owner of Colonial Florist & Gift Shop, Mount Union.  Travis was featured in and named one of the "40 Most Successful Business Owners Under 40" by  Pennsylvania Business Central (a regional publication serving 16 counties).  He serves on the board of directors of the Mount Union Area Chamber of Commerce and is one of the founding members of the Fireworks Committee.   


 




Mary Lou Peduzzi is the Founder and President of Mount Union Community Action Partnership.  Mary Lou is the guiding force behind Mount Union's most active community-service organization.   




 

Kathe House Posey is a 6th grade teacher at the Mount Union-Kistler Elementary School.  From the thousands of school teachers in Pennsylvania, Kathe was awarded "State Teacher of the Year" for 2007, by Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.


  


Dolly Ranck


Dolly Ranck has served as a member and president of the Mount Union Area Board of Education, as well as board vice-chairperson of the Huntingdon County Career & Technology Center.  She also served as president of the Mount Union Area Chamber of Commerce.  Dolly is the former owner of the Clothing Carousal and the Mount Union Dairy Queen Brazier. 

     

 



Corey Wertz is head wrestling coach in the Mount Union Area School District.  Corey was  awarded the "2008 District Six Class AA Wrestling Coach of the Year" by a panel of his peers.
