Local Announcements

JULY 27 -- Band Concert
The Mount Union Community Band will present a concert on the evening of Tuesday, July 27, at the Historical Society on West Water Street.  Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

AUGUST 3 -- Mount Union Historical Society "Yard Sale"

In an effort to conserve time at the Historical Society's annual benefit auction, the Society will offer many of the smaller items at a 'pre-sale' yard sale on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the same site as the benefit auction: West Water Street, Mount Union.  Please see the next listing.

AUGUST 4 -- Mount Union Historical Society Annual Benefit Auction

The Society's Annual Benefit Auction begins at 4:00 p.m. on the Society's grounds along West Water Street.  As in the past, a large tent will be provided to offer shelter from the elements, and Kirk Stevens will once again be in charge of the auction.  The success of this event is vital to the survival of our organization, so please come, bid, and buy.  Thank you in advance!

AUGUST 7 -- CJJHS Class of '64 Mini Reunion

Our annual get-together at Hoss's Steak & Sea House, Huntingdon.  It's a Dutch-treat luncheon beginning at 1 p.m.  These informal minis provide a way to reconnect with former classmates and anyone who ever went to school with the class, even if they did not graduate with us in 1964.  Spouses and other guests are invited, too.  Please RSVP to Paul Lee Prough by July 25th.

AUGUST 19 -- "Our Town: Mount Union"

WPSU-TV's first public broadcast of "Our Town: Mount Union"!

JUNE 30 - JULY 3 -- The Nation's Largest Outdoor Christian Music Festival

2010 marks the 32nd anniversary of the Creation Festival, located seven miles south of Mount Union, along Keystone Road at the Agape Farm.  Making a return visit in 2008 was the mega-hit recording star, Amy Grant.  Creation is a Christ-centered festival in the beautiful surroundings of Huntingdon County.
